Prophet Christopher Yaw Annor, the Senior Pastor of the Holy Ghost Temple of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), has urged Christians to share their lives, love and knowledge with others, as Christ did, to create a better world for mankind.
Prophet Annor said Jesus, throughout his ministry, demonstrated the value of sacrificing for the common good, and emphasised the lesson at the Last Supper with the breaking
of bread and sharing it among his disciples to signify the offering of his body and blood for all men.
The sacrifice most importantly symbolised the reconciliation of man to God, thus providing man another opportunity of receiving eternal life.
Prophet Annor, who was delivering the Easter Sermon at the Church, at Frafraha, assured Christians that in their confused moments, Christ would offer them a divine revelation to carry on with their divine purpose, saying, ' a divine revelation leads to revolution - a dramatic change. '
This, however, required them to create the space in their hearts to accept Christ to transform them, explaining that he would only stay where he was invited.
They should also pray for an eye of understanding, which was key for staying focused on your purpose and enjoying a successful life in Christ.
"If you understand marriage, your marriage will be sweet; if you understand the law, you will not be caught by it. Understanding is one of the greatest keys to success in life," he said, in reference to Ephesians 1:18-19.
Prophet Annor entreated Christians not be slow in believing the power of God because the resurrection story of Jesus Christ was real and the bedrock of Christianity.
Though large sums of money had been paid through the years to suppress the truth, Jesus revealed himself to his disciples and many other people, thereafter, as a testimony of his resurrection.
“If Jesus had remained in the tomb then we wouldn’t have had any hope of eternal life, but because he overcame death, he can provide answers to our problems,” Prophet Annor stated.
"The spirit that resurrected Christ from the dead is capable of quickening the believer and making him experience that power to overcome diseases, shackles of poverty and also freeing him from any spiritual bondage."
Christians should, therefore, be enthusiastic about sharing their faith in obedience to the command of the Great Commission, he said.
The congregants were splendidly dressed in mainly white clothes to signify the victory of Jesus Christ over death and the reconciliation Jesus Christ brought between man and God.
They danced to a medley of gospel songs, amid praises and worship.
The Service also marked the end of a week-long convention under the theme, “Spiritual Emphasis”.
