Church goes to the aid of orphans

Kasoa (C/R), Sept. 30, GNA- The Global Salvation Ministry in Kasoa on Saturday donated a quantity of items worth GH=A2900 (9 million Cedis) to the Christ Out-Reach Orphanage Home at Kai Me Brea, a suburb of Kasoa as part of its social responsibilities to the people. The items include second hand clothing, two bags of rice, a bag each of Gari and Beans, 100 balls of Kenkey, fish, cooking oil, exercise books, a carton of key soap, frozen meat and rubber buckets. Reverend Peter Okyere, official in charge of the Ministry in Kasoa presented the items on behalf of the church.

Rev. Okyere said, the gesture was part of the church's social obligation to the people as well as seeking their spiritual needs. Madam Rose Abeka, head of the Home, received the items and thanked the church for thinking of the welfare of the children, and assured that the items would be used judiciously for the benefit of the children. She said the population of the Home continue to increase monthly and appealed to NGOs and Philanthropists to come to its aid to ensure effective and smooth management. 30 Sept. 07
