Yakubu denies Kotoko a win in Len Clay

Yakubu Mohammed scored ten minutes from time to salvage a point for AshantiGold in their 2-2 draw with Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Miners always had to come from behind to draw level with Kotoko, who took the lead 15 minutes into the start of the game at the Len Clay Stadium through striker Kofi Nti Boakye.

Eight minutes after the interval, Yakubu equalised for AshantiGold but they soon went to sleep as Kotoko hit back within two minutes when Seidu Bansi put them in front against in the 64th minute.

With Kotoko enjoying possession and coasting to their first win, Yakubu pegged them back in the 80th minute to deny them a win after two matches as their title defence yet again witnessed another draw.
