Premier League match rained off

Mpraeso (E/R), Sept 19, GNA - The Zone 'B' Premier League match between Okwahu United and Ashantigold at the Mpraeso Brighten's Park has been rained off following a heavy down pour.

Sunyani-based class one referee, James Quashie called off the match in the 18th minute of the first half after consulting the Match Commissioner, Mr Charles C. Anderson.

Okwahu United were leading by a lone goal scored by Kwabena Yaro in the fourth minute of the first half of the match. The Match Commissioner said since the match could not be continued on the flooded field, the match has therefore been rescheduled for tomorrow at the same venue.

He said officials of the two teams have subsequently agreed to play the match on Monday.
