Power FC 2 Bofoakwa 0

At the Ho Sports Stadium, Ho-based Power FC on Sunday beat visiting Tano Bofoakwa 2-0 to break the jinx of their inability to win any home matches in the on-going Onetouch Premier League competition.

Power's two first half goals ensured the home team's early indication of putting the past behind them in a keenly contested game. The first goal came in the 30th minute through striker Kwabena Yaro when after receiving a swift pass from Ernest Okyere he quickly fired the ball past the reach of Mohammed Shaibu in post for Bofoakwa. Yaro had earlier missed a 26-minute opportunity when he failed to find the target with a header at goal.

Power continued to put the pressure on Bofoakwa and increased the tally to two eleven minutes later through Felix Ayittey who wove his way through the Bofoakwa defence to blast the ball into the yawning net. Bofoakwa were occasionally dangerous to find at least a consolation goal but all their attempts to reduce the tally proved futile until the end of proceedings to bring relief to the Power lads.

Power's Thomas Mensah was adjudged the man of the match.
