Oly Beat Hasaacas

Two first half goals was all Accra Great Olympics needed to register a sweet revenge over visiting Sekondi Hasaacas in their Onetouch Premier League clash at the Ho Sports Stadium on Sunday. Olympics started the game with determination and came as no surprise when they went ahead to get the opener in the 15th minute courtesy, Michael Ocansey who delivered a swift 40-yard shot past Joseph Addo in post for Hasaacas.

Cheered on by their vociferous fans who defied a downpour to sing and drum throughout the game, Olympics dominated the game by winning all the 50-50 balls thus forcing the visitors to play a defensive game. Olympic's Emmanuel Clottey in the 43rd minute made it two when he headed home an in-swinger from Tanko Mohammed.

Some minutes into the second half, Hasaacas changed the pattern of their game plan with good inter-positional passes but the strikers failed to take advantage of the chances they created. The midfield of Hasaacas failed to hold when it mattered most giving the attackers of Olympics easy access into their goal area which cost them greatly.

In the dying minutes of the game, Hasaacas keeper Addo had pulled some spectacular saves to prevent his side from conceding more goals.
