Okwawu/AshGold match rained off for the second time

Mpraeso, Sept. 20 GNA - The fourth week premier league match between Okwawu United and Obuasi AshantiGold was rained off for the second time after it was rescheduled for Monday, September.

The match ended prematurely last Sunday due to a heavy down pour when Okwawu were leading by a lone goal and that was postponed for the Monday.

On Monday, a heavy down pour of rain for over one hour was again experienced compelling the match officials led by Sunyani based referee, James Quarshie to call off the match after inspecting the pitch.

According to referee Quarshie the field was not conducive for the game, a decision, which was corroborated by the match commissioner, Charles Anderson.

Mr Anderson said a report would be submitted to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for a new date to be fixed for the match.
