Liberty pip New Edubiase 1-0

Accra, Oct. 28, GNA- Liberty Professionals pipped league debutants New Edubiase by a lone goal on Wednesday in their outstanding Glo Premier League clash at the Carl Reindorf Park, Dansoman.

Left back Richard Kissi netted the only goal of the match ten minutes from time to hand Liberty their second home win of the season. After a scrappy first half characterised by a handful of goal scoring chances, both teams resumed the second half strongly with occasional raids into each others half.

It was, however, the visitors who gave a good account of themselves as they made the first attempt at goal on 48 minutes but Nuhu Fuseini's header kissed the crossbar with Liberty goalie Daniel Agyei completely beaten. As the clock ticked on, Liberty kept the defence of the visitors boiling and during one of such raids Kissi broke the deadlock with a superb half volley from a rebound after substitute Richard Afful's curling shot kissed the post.

New Edubiase lifted up their game but their effort was not enough to save them from tasting their second defeat of the season.
