Kotoko settle with a drawn game with RTU

Tamale, June 17, GNA - Visiting Kumasi Asante Kotoko settled with a 1-1 drawn game with Real Tamale United (RTU) in their Glo Premier League at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Wednesday. Alex Asamoah of Kotoko registered the first goal of the game in the 69th minute of the game while RTU's substitute Karim Moro got the much needed equalizer for the RTU in the dying minutes of the game. RTU dominated the match in the first 25 minutes of the game but failed to utilize the numerous opportunities that came their way into goals.

Kotoko exhausted their substitutions in the first half due to injuries of Francis Akotto, Godfred Yeboah and Osei Kwame Junior for Louis Agyeman, Samuel Enzenoba and Hanan Giwah to replace them. A determined RTU side again wasted a lot of chances even in the early stages of the second half leading to Peter Yakubu being red-carded for committing a second offence for rough tackling. RTU also exhausted their substitutions by being up their team after Kotoko's goal. The match was officiated by Mercy Tagoe with support on the lines by Alex Anning and E. O. Ankrah as his assistants. 17 June 09
