Kessben force Liberty to a draw

Accra, June 25, GNA - Liberty Professionals were held to a one all drawn game by Kessben FC in the 28th Week of the Premier League match played at the Carl Reindorf Park, Dansoman, on Wednesday. Liberty were the first to make serious attempts at goal by creating two clear chances that saw Samuel Ayew Yeboah and Latif Salif missing the chances in the 8th and 13th minutes of the game. The visitors, however, made good use of their opportunity in the 17th minute when Enoch Asare capitalized on a misunderstanding between Maxwell Osabu and keeper Yaw Berko to score the first goal. Liberty laboured to fetch the equalizer but failed on several occasions until they managed to get the equalizer in the 61 minute through a penalty awarded them.

The penalty came after David Addo handled a ball in his vital area for referee Charles Tagoe to point to the spot. Ayew Yeboah made sure he converted the penalty to bring his side on level terms. The equaliser gingered Liberty to probe for the match winner but the Kessben defence pivoted around Yahaya Iddrisu thwarted all efforts to ensure that departed to Kumasi with a vital away point.
