Dwarfs to threaten Hearts lead

Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs is set to unseat league leaders as
they lock horns with former continental club masters Accra Hearts of Oak at the
Cape-Coast Robert Mensah stadium in the top liner of the week six of the Glo
Premiership.

Hearts are currently sitting on top of the table with 13
points from five matches played whereas Ebusua Dwarfs are third on the log with
9 points from five games played so far. Contrary to last season where Hearts of
Oak experienced some difficulties, everything looks bread and cheese for the
Phobia club who is celebrating it 100th year anniversary this
weekend.

Accra Hearts of Oak managed a 2 – 0 victory over New Edubiase
united last Sunday but not without controversy as players and officials of
Edubiase nearly called off the match at a point in time when they smelled a rat
from decision of officiating officials.

Ebusua Dwarfs on the other hand, managed a goalless drawn
game at the Accra sports stadium with Mighty Jets and are battled ready for the
phobians come today but Cape Coast in recent years has proved to be cool
grounds for Hearts of Oak as they have chalked some memorable wins over there.
Quick-to-remember is the 2006/2007 season where Hearts did double over Kotoko
at the Cape Coast Park.
Dwarfs looks to putting a stop to Hearts’ unbeaten run but if
care is not taken glorious Accra Hearts of Oak will run away with the three
maximum points at stake to appease their vociferous supporters who would like
to celebrate the centenary celebration this weekend with Hearts being on top of
the table.

At the Tarkwa Park, Medeama SC will welcome soccer miners,
Ashantigold in another equally crunch match. Homesters Medeama lost their last
match to Tema Youth at the Tema park by 0 -3 and will do all things within
their myth to grab the three points but Ashantigold will give them a good run
for their money.

Former league champions Berekum Chelsea will welcome back
from sweat victory Tema Youth to the golden city park. Both clubs have many
things in common and will reflect in the match come today. Chelsea have a lot
of quality payers in their camp but Tema Youth on the other hand are also
tactically discipline but Berekum Chelsea looks favorite to carry the three
points.

Second placed Kumasi Asante Kotoko will vent their spree on
Tudu Mighty Jets after their 1 – 1 drawn game with Berekum Arsenal’s last
Sunday at the golden city park. Mighty Jets cannot cause any havoc at the Baba
Yara stadium as the Porcupine Warriors are ready to give Hearts the chase for
the top spot.

At the Sly Tetteh Park in Dansoman, Liberty Professionals
will add to the woes of bottom club Bechem united. Liberty is currently 8th on the
ladder with seven points and is bent on taken the three maximum points
at stake.

Kwesi Nyantekyi’s Wa All Stars will welcome Berekum Arsenal
to the Wa Park in a match which looks to be hard for the visiting team. All
Stars are a strong side home and looks favorite for this encounter but they
should be weary of the threat from the visitors who may have different ideas as
far as this match is concern.

At the Osadeayo Agyemang Badu’s park in Dormaa, Aduana stars
will pitch their strength with Kpando Hearts of Lions. If this match had been
played three seasons ago, Lions would have been my favorite though playing away
from home but the performance that saw Lions as one of the best club in the
country has diminished abruptly and this will give Aduana the impetus to grab
the three points at stake.

New Edubiase united will come face to face with new entrant
Wassaman united at the Bekwai Park in a match which seems to be a cool chop for
the home team.
