Berekum Chelsea 1-1 Liberty Professionals

Berekum Chelsea shared the spoils with Liberty Professionals after drawing 1-1 in the week 23 Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday at the Golden City Park.

Liberty took the lead through Daniel Kodie but Seth Appiah equalised for the home side before the end of the first-half.

The Blues needed a reprieve from the 4-0 hammering at the hands of debutantes Dreams FC at the Dreams Arena in the week 22 clash.

Liberty on the other hand had refresher pains following their failure to reach the final of the 2016 MTN FA Cup.

Solomon Odwo's men appeared to have taken control of the tie but Daniel Kodie hit the opener for Liberty against the run of play.

Fans on attendance at the Golden City Park were left stunned when the Dansoman-based side took the lead.

But Seth Appiah gave the hosts the equaliser 18 minutes before the break.

Liberty were missing top scorer Latif Atta Blessing in their attacking line. The hot-shot failed to overcome sickness to feature in the game for the Scientific Soccer Lads.
