AshGold look to strengthen

AshantiGold are looking to overhaul their side after their early struggles in the Glo League.

The three time Ghana Premier League winners are not just looking for a replacement for the sacked Zradko Lugaresic, they urgently want to beef up their playing body too.

And top of priority for them is a striker with last season's Premier League top goal scorer Nana Poku their number one target.

Chief executive Cudjoe Fianoo says they are looking to take the Berekum Chelsea man on loan. Also on their radar is Michael Helegbe of Liberty Professionals.

Top on the coaching list is David Duncan who has been tipped for a return to Obuasi.
