Asante Kotoko in two goal away win

Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs, playing their first home match away following their indefinite ban at their home base, the Cape Coast stadium, lost 0-2 to League leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the 21 week Glo Premier League match at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium on Sunday.

Kotoko who were determined to consolidate their hold on the League log, dominated play throughout the game and it came as no surprise when Kofi Nti Boakye scored the opener in the 12th minute.

The Porcupine Warriors continued to probe for more goals but Dwarfs goal keeper, Adabe Foli made some brilliant saves to end the first half with the lone goal.

In the second half, Dwarfs lifted up their game plan but it was short-lived when Kotoko again took over proceedings and they were a delight to watch with their attackers firing from all angles as they probed for a second half which eventually came their way in the 58th minute from the foot of Ben Acheampong.

Nti Boakye nearly increased Kotoko’s goal tally in the 68th minute but his shot missed the target narrowly.

Dwarfs in the 83rd minute made an effort in search of a consolation goal but substitute Seidu Basit’s shot went wide off target.

Meanwhile at the Ashanti Bekwai Gyamfi Park, Edubiase United beat Wa All Stars 1-0, courtesy aspiring goal king Emmanuel Baffoe’s spot kick goal which was awarded his side in the second half of their Premier League match. **
