Hockey tournament in honour of the late Thomas Abankro ended

Annual T. Tommy Hockey Tournament 2015 edition successfully came to an end on Sunday 5th of July at the Kumasi Hockey pitch.

Defending champions Sapholda won the Senior’s division, Multisticks chocked the 2nd position, followed by Citizens Int. with Kumasi team A coming 4th.
Sapholda won last two years season, because last year’s T. Tommy Final was rained off they still maintain that position.

Out of 8 teams in the men’s category Trustees of SSNIT were emerged winners, followed by GRA of CEPS, Exchequers 3rd and Kumasi team A coming 4th.
GRA Ladies won in the Ladies division, Kumasi team A came 2nd, followed by Kumasi team B.

Trophies were presented to the winners from various divisions.
After the presentations to the various winners, GRA ladies presented a set of jersey to the Kumasi ladies club.

Speaking to Naa Darkuah of Rainbow Sports, Trustees’ assistant captain Ernest Opoku revealed that he together with his senior captain Matthew Gamelie will be joining GRA in the next season of T. Tommy.

His reason was that GRA has offered him a job. He assured Trustees fans that, the young players are matured enough to replace them.

He thanked the management of Trustees, the players and supporters for rallied behind them all this while.

“Trustees is indeed a family I will never forget” were his last words.
