Owusu-Adjapong wins Afariwaa Invitational golf

Felix Owusu-Adjapong beat Emmanuel T. Mensah on count-back to win the 10th Annual Afariwaa Invitational Golf championship played at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday. The two players had scored 39 points each at the end of play. Robert Allotey took the third position with 38 points as he also beat Kweku Okyere on count-back.

Grace Komladzei won the Ladies category with 39 points while Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong came second with 36 points and Florence Etwi-Barimah placed third with 35 points.

The one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition, which was sponsored by Afariwaa Farms and Livestock Products Limited, attracted about 100 golfers.

Nana Owusu-Afari, Managing Director of the company said the sponsorship of the event was his company's contribution to the development of the lesser-known sports in the country.

Mr Kofi Gyau, vice captain of the club assisted Nana Owusu-Afari to present prizes to the winners.
