Reggie Sowah Wins Stanchart Golf Open

Accra, (Greater Accra Region) 28, Sept. Reggie Sowah scored 43 points to win the 28th Annual Stanchart Open Golf championship which ended at the Achimota Golf course today. J.K. Boachie came second with 42 points, Felix Brenya, was third with 40 points while George Kordjo placed fourth with 39 points . Grace Komladzei, the golf whiz kid, scored 40 points to become the new Ladies champion. Adelaide Owusu Agyepong came second with 39 points, Grace Quartey, third with 38 points , Mona Captan, was fourth with 36 points and Valentine Manteaw, fifth with 35 points.

The one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition, organized by Achimota Golf Club and sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank, attracted over 150 golfers from Tema, Celebrity and Achimota clubs. Mr Dan Dennis, Captain of Achimota Golf Club, praised the bank for supporting the club for the past years. Mr Vishnu Mohan, Managing Dirtector of the Bank, donated two mowers and a cheque for one million cedis to Achimota Golf Club after presenting prizes to the winners.
