Lipton Bi-Monthly Golf Championship fixed for May 1

Tema, April 26, GNA - The next Bi-Monthly Lipton Open Golf Championship tees off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, May 1. Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, General Manager of the Tema Country Golf Club told GNA Sports at Tema on Monday that about 120 amateur golfers throughout the country have so far registered for the competition.

He said the competition, which would be played in accordance with the local rules of the Club, will be sponsored by Unilever Ghana Limited. Mr Adablanu disclosed that the competition which was started last year, continues to be keener and keener due to the attractive prizes at stake. He said some of the golfers who have already registered for the competition include Kweku Okyere, Captain, William Asiedu Yeboah, Alex Fiagomey, Paul Owusu-Baah and Enoch Tetteh Mensah, all of the Tema Country Golf Club.

The team from Achimota Golf Club to be led by their captain Mike Aggrey, would include Charles Tabi, Paul List, Daniel List, Mike Ben-George, Matthias Dorfe and Daniel Dennis. Officials of Unilever are expected to grace the occasion. 26 April 10
