Celebrity Medal Golf scheduled for Oct. 31

Tema, Oct. 24, GNA - This month's Celebrity Golf Club Medal Open Championship tees off at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday, October 31. Mr Oswald Amuzu, Competition Secretary of the Club who announced this at Tema on Saturday, said about 100 golfers would take part in the one-day 18-Hole event.

He said the competition, which would be sponsored by the Club has Handicap 18 and 24 respectively as the entry requirements. Joe Ampofo, Theophilus Asampong, Kobina Quansah, Akwasi Opoku and Abdul-Aziz Amankwa, all of Celebrity Golf Club are expected to participate in the competition.

Kweku Okyere, Alex Fiagomey, Paul Owusu-Baah, William Asiedu Yeboah and Daniel List are also expected to feature for the Tema Country Golf Club whilst Mike Aggrey would lead the Achimota Golf Club team which would include Mike Ezan, Charles Tabi, Yaw Assah-Sam, Wisdom Asempah and Dan Dennis.

Golfers use Monthly Medal competitions to sharpen their strokes in readiness for major golf events.
