Stanbic Bank Invitational Golf postponed

Accra, July 23, GNA - This year's Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited Invitational Golf Championship scheduled for the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, July 25, has been postponed. Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club told GNA Sports in Accra on Thursday, that the postponement was due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the Bank. He said a new date would be announced in December and regretted the inconvenience that might have been caused to golf participants and lovers.

About 120 amateur golfers were expected to compete for honours in the competition which is in its second year. Some of the expectant golfers told GNA Sports that they would take advantage of the postponement to sharpen their strokes to enable them win the trophy come December. 23 July 09
