In an inspiring act of unity and empathy, the Government, through the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, initiated the Appiatse Support Fund in January 2022.

The purpose of this fund was to extend vital support to the steadfast inhabitants of Appiatse in the Prestea Huni-Valley District, Western Region, in the aftermath of the calamitous event that struck their locality.

Spearheaded by the zealous endeavours of the Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor, and bolstered by the steadfast backing of empathetic individuals and entities, the fund rapidly accumulated in excess of GHC40 million shortly after its establishment. This remarkable feat reflects a shared commitment to mitigate the anguish and reconstruct the livelihoods of those impacted by the Apiate misfortune.

On the verge of inaugurating the Appiatse relief initiatives, it is fitting to acknowledge Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor for his exceptional leadership and tireless dedication to philanthropic causes.

His empathetic stance and steadfast determination shine as a symbol of optimism, reinforcing the government's unwavering pledge to stand in solidarity with our compatriots during challenging times.

Samuel Abu Jinapor's exemplary stewardship exemplifies that through compassion, perseverance, and collective effort, we can achieve the extraordinary.
