US Embassy Did The Right Thing

TO REFUSE ATO AHWOI AND THE ENERGY MINISTER U.S. VISA.

“THE US VISA REFUSAL SERVE ATO AHOI & Co. RIGHT” A group in Tema Metropolis calling itself the United Cadre Front National (UCF) says they are very shock by the news of the refusal of visas to the Chairman of the Board of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Mr. Ato Ahwoi, and Minister of Energy, Dr. Oteng Adjei.

The group which is a repackaged of Revolutionary Cadres of the PNDC which among other things, seeks to advance the interest of the so called Scientific Social Democratic ideology of the NDC.

The UCF which is made up of all former cadres of the PNDC revolutionary era and concerned citizens drawn from six towns in the Tema metropolis and surrounding town in the Greater Accra Region is therefore demanding reasons behind the refusal of visas to the two distinguished personalities.

In a statement issued in Accra, the UCF said, the absence of justifiable explanations, will lead them to suspect a foul play attempt by the US Embassy to interfere in Ghana's politics and undermine the sovereignty of the nation.

The United Cadre Front, Tema Sub Region received with shock and total dismay news of the refusal of visa to the Minister of Energy. Subsequent to that, it has been followed by other refusals to Mr. Ato Ahwoi, Chairman of the Board of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), and other top officials in the energy sector seeking to enter the US for government business. We would like to believe that the seeming targeted action of the embassy is not a subtle attempt to coerce the President and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation to overlook the interest of the Ghanaian people in favor of an American company's interest.

How many times do they want to go to travel around the world to serve their own interest? Ahwoi use to fly to the United States frequently as if he is driving from Accra to Amasaman, on the accounts of the Ghanaian Tax payer. His camouflage and for nothing business trips to the States and around the world on the ticket of the tax payer must stop.

He has since his numerous flights to the US, Europe and Asia And not been able to achieve anything reasonable or profitable, he is only taking chances as usual to fill his own pocket with the money of the poor Ghanaian Tax payer. He thinks he is very smart, but the US Ambassador in Ghana is smarter.

I am sure Ahwoi and Oteng Adjei were not applying the US visas not only for themselves alone but rather for some other People too. (US VISA CONNECTION) The US Ambassador can see wider than Ahwoi & co., hence the refusal.

The oil business must be done in Ghana but not in the United States. Ahwoi and energy Minister and so what?
