Concerned Youth Of Navrongo East Caution MP

THE MP FOR CHINA-PAGA SHOULD PLAY HIS ROLE AS MP BUT NOT E.C

On the 19th November 2006,Hon.Abuga Pele issued a statement calling on the Kassena Nankana District Assembly(KNDA) to declare the election of the presiding member as null and void or the KNDA will be sued.

We the concerned youth of Kassena Nankana East wish to caution the MP that, he should not divert our attention on development to confusion in the district.

Hon. Abuga should know that “people who seek for leadership should not divide or polarize the society they seek to govern, because of the end of the day” he is coming to lead such a society.

We further caution the MP that, he should focus on issues that will generate development in the constituency to create jobs for the youth rather than inflaming passion at the District Assembly Election to back up party stand.

The MP should allow the matter to rest in the hands of the E.C, members of the assembly and all the relevant units within the KNDA to provide solution to the present impasse for a return to order. He should rather debate strongly in parliament to score some points to win development for the constituency which we voted him for. This the only way we will judge him at the end of his tenure of office.

The Philosophy of ‘‘had I known” has been the order of the day in the constituency as most of the youth are dissatisfied and had lost confidence in the MP for his inability to perform to expectation of the youth, if he had our way we would have passed a vote of no confidence before the end of his woeful tenure of office. Hon. Abuga tenure of office will soon be over without any meaningful achievement to boast of. The youth on this note, challenge the MP to come out with any project he has undertaken in the constituency since he came MP(1996-2006) especially Navrongo East, apart from funeral greetings and footballs to the youth.

We at times wonder ,that’s the only way we can ever benefit from our MP’s common fund, i.e. football and funeral gifts.

On serious note, Hon. Abuga should take us serious and deliver on his chain of promises as the hour to pass on judgment is at hand. Finally, for his own sake he should stay off from the 2008 race. Time ,they say will tell, our tombs are already up for change.
