Where Were You Maulvi Wahab Adam?

It’s unfortunate how suddenly some civil societies, and clergy men have found their reading lenses and voices to chide some sect of the political divide without doing same when the need arises.

Where was Maulvi Adams for the past ten (10) years when the former president who is undisputedly asocial and political crowd puller with some of his fans who will do anything including dying for him in the course of defending him became asticker of insult for the NPP to the extent of a Minister of State at the ministry of foreign affairs by name AkuffoAddostriping him of his diplomatic courtesies.

As if that was not enough, the then minister of information organized a press conference with state resources to lie to the country that the former president JJ Rawlings had gone to solicit for fans in Venezuela to outs theNPP government then in power which was followed by public comments from the then commander in chief of the state security apparatus and president of the republic of Ghana then, H.E john AgyekumKufour.

Was MaulviWahab Adam not in this country when an MP by name Hon. Kennedy Agyapongthreaten the former president JJ Rawlings that he will be killed like general Gue of Ivory Coast if he dared tried to overthrow the NPP government? If he did not even read about the former Central Regional Minister, Hon. Adumaze call the former Veepand presidential candidate of Ghana and NDC respectfully“achamber pot” he definitely must have heard it on the airwaves because it attracted a widercondemnations from all well-meaningGhanaians. Where was his voice then?

What of the statesmannewspaper publishing on its front page that the former Veepof Ghana and then candidate of the NDC was a puddle? What about the beating of then candidate Mills aid at the full glare of the then president J.A kufour? Where was his tongue then?

Is Maulvi Adam not amember of the peace council and resident in this country when the presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana AkuffoAddomade the all “all die bedie” comment? And confessed that, what he and his NPP party faithful’sdid in Atewaby-elections was just a tip of their plan elections violence iceberg?

What of the tribal statement of “yen akanfo” meaning “we akans”? What off Nana AkuffoAddo’simmoral “bottom power” tribute to a late former minister of state of Ghana?

How many times haven’t a key and an elderly man and leading communications team members of the NPP, kwabenaSarpong call the president H.E J.E.A Mills a “CLUELESS” president.

What of the recent charge comments by big wigs in the NPP, Peter Mcmanu, Chairman Jake, General SecretaryAfriyeaa.k.aSir John? All these personalities have openly beaten war drums charging their support base to get prepared for what…..? Is only they that knows.

What is more inflammable, and potentially nation wrecking statements and acts than what has been enumerated above by no mean persons than the biggest and main opposition leaders of our dear country Ghana.

For Maulvi Adams to suddenly get his voice, tongue and reading glasses in recent times to begin chiding KokuAnyidohowho harmlessly answered what government will do to such irresponsible thoughts and threats from irresponsible people is very very unfortunate.

If Maulvi Adams had first been bold enough to stand up to both the above numerated instances and those not enumerated above, he will have stood the test of today’s time.

Its therefore very important for all civil societies, the clergy and all those whose voices can calm and simmerirresponsible statements to always rise up to the occasion when it matters most but not to join the trail by been quiet and only coming out when it doesn’t matter anymore or it becomes anorm.

In conclusion, I will equally want to associate myself with the statement that, any person or group of persons who wants to destabilize this dear country of ours either by an irresponsible statement or act will surely and definitely be dealt with. They should always remember: THOSE WHO LIVE BY THE SWORD, SURELY DIES BY IT. “L-E-T D-E- M D-A-R-E”
