Kpandai NDC in crisis

It is very unfortunate for one to note that there is serious trouble brewing in Kpandai NDC at a time that we in the party are supposed to be uniting and organising towards a successful 2016 election campaign. The main cause of this disunity is the ongoing serious battle between the DCE and the former member of parliament for kpandai constituency about who should represent the party at the 2016 elections.
The former MP, having been defeated in 2012 election by opposition new patriotic party NPP candidate is going round telling his supporters that the DCE caused his defeat in the 2012 elections. As I write these article, the former MP is in the constituency moving from village to village, poling station to station convincing the delegates to vote for him during the primaries which we all know the date for the NDC primaries is not out yet. In one village he accused the DCE of secretly supporting the NPP candidate not sending resources to his supporters. The constituency executives have told aspirants not to start campaigning as the party has not opened nominations but the former MP is going round campaigning which is also creating confusion at the more tension in the party. People are asking whether he is the only person in Kpandai.
Only about a week ago the former MP organised his supporters to stage a demonstration against the DCE. It was the timely intervention by the constituency executives that stopped the demonstration from happening otherwise there would have been clashes between the former MPs supporters and DCEs supporters.
Honorable Likpalmor lost 2012 election due to lack of performance. After 20 years in parliament people wanted change. People saw the bad roads, lack of development lack of infrastructure and poor schools and wanted change. We the people are still suffering so we don’t want further divisions in the party to make the problem for the party difficult. The youth of the party want to mobillise for the party but the lack of support for the youth and the community at large is making it difficult for the party and if care is not taken to stop the fighting between the DCE and former MP things will get worse for the party.
It is well known that the DCE is unfriendly, disresfectful and unwilling to help out the needy and disadvantage in our community. He doesn’t even visit the branches but that does not mean he was responsible for the former MPs defeat. The animosity between the two elders of the party is creating more division and is not helping the party.
Honorable likpalmor has totally lost the respect of the people , the people in the constituency do not like him and they are saying there will never vote for him if ndc happen to elect him as their parliamentary candidate for kpandai constituency.
The DCE and the former MP have demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that they are greedy,self-seeking men who are insensitive to the plight of people of kpandai.
We the youth of NDC in kpandai want to use this noble platform to bring to the notice of the (National Democratic Congress NDC) Regional and national Executives of our beloved party they should immediately intervene to the crisis of NDC in kpandai before we loss the seat to npp come 2016 elections.
The NDC need someone who is commited to a better kpandai and to help president John Dramani Mahama to achieve his better Ghana agenda and not these people who are fighting leaders.
