Officially: TV3 hands over prizes to GMB contestants

TV3 Network, organizers of the Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) reality show, has officially handed over all prizes to the 2014 contestants of the Ghana’s Most Beautiful reality contest.

This was done at a short ceremony in Accra, and was witnessed by family members of the ten contestants, TV3 management and the media.

The prizes included the prize car, a brand new Hyundai Accent saloon car, hampers, digital TV set and cash prizes. There was also signing of contract between the ladies and management of TV3.

The occasion was also used to reward the highest texter of the show in the person of Mr. Raymond Ekpedzor, brother of Solace Ekpedzor Ewoenam, who was the first runner up in the 2014 GMB show. He received a Toshiba LED TV.

The key to the prize car was handed over to Abigail Baciara Bentie also known as Baci, Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2014, together with a cheque of GH?10,000.00. She will also receive a one-year supply of fabric from GTP, sponsors of the show, a one year wardrobe worth GH?6,000.00. Additionally, Baci will receive one-year grooming from 2ND Image and one more year supply of make-up products from Zaron Cosmetic.

Solace Ekpedzor, stage-named Ewoe, was handed over a cash prize of GH?7,000.00 for placing second. She will receive a six-month supply of fabric from GTP together with another six-month supply of make-up products from Zaron Cosmetic.

Ama, also known as Nana Ama Odame Okyere, second runner-up of the contest, was given GH?6,000.00 as her cash prize. She will receive a three-month supply of fabric from GTP and three-month supply of make-up products from Zaron Cosmetics.

The third runner-up, Carla Bongkoyire Cornelius, also known as Lamine, was given a cash prize of GH?5,000.00. She will receive a month supply of fabric from GTP and make-up products from Zaron Cosmetic. In a brief remark, Head of Brands at TV3, Mr. Felix Dontoh, said the occasion was to honour the promises that TV3 made to the ladies when they entered the show.

According to him, the contracts signed between his company and the ladies as witnessed by their family members were to ensure that the ladies official or business deals and movement would be monitored by TV3 for a one-year period.

He disclosed that the contract would be made available to individuals and organizations who would want to engage the ladies in one way or the other for business.

Mr. Augustus Dickson, chief executive officer (CEO) of TV3, congratulated all four finalists for making it to the top and urged them to make good use of the platform they have been given.

He specially congratulated Baci, and advised her to make use of her crown as Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2014 to impact positively into the lives of her community and Ghana as a whole.

Baci, on her part, thanked organizers of the GMB reality show for “rebranding her”. She also expressed gratitude to her family members, especially her mother, Hawa Bantie, who was travelling from Tamale to Accra every Sunday to TV3 to watch her perform on stage.

She also thanked her fans and called on all and sundry to help her in implementing her project of promoting primary education in her region, Upper West Region.

Other prizes including the Best Cook was awarded by Wilmar Ghana Limited, producers of frytol to Abena from Ashanti Region. Each of the four finalists received hampers from the 2014 GMB sponsors.

The United Nations (UN) is supporting the ladies with guidelines on carrying out their projects.
