Sarkodie, R2bees, others nominated for the 2014 Headies

This year’s nominees for the Headies have been unveiled today September 30, and Ghana’s Sarkodie and R2Bees are representing the country once again.

The awards formerly known as the Hip Hop World Awards was established in 2006 by the ‘Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria’ to recognize outstanding achievement in the Nigerian music industry.

The annual ceremony features performances by established and promising performing artistes.

According to organizers, the year’s nomination is based on the year in review, July 2013 and June 2014.

Other nominees include 2Face Idibia, Davido, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid

BEST AFRICAN ARTISTE A non-Nigerian award category for an individual African artiste with the most outstanding single/album and astonishing achievements and infiltration into Nigeria in year under review. Mafikizolo Sarkodie Diamondz R2bees
