Okyeame Kwame embarks on free Hepatitis B screening

Okyeame Kwame Foundation together with MDS Lancet Laboratories and MTN Ghana Foundation is embarking on free Hepatitis B screening and vaccination at James Town-Mantse Agbona, Accra as at this publication today, Saturday, July 26, 2014.

The foundation and its partners aim at screening and vaccinating 1000 Ghanaians this year starting with Accra residents.

However, Okyeame Kwame is calling especially on the youth for the screening and vaccination, indicating that “the youth is sexually active and Hepatitis B is usually contracted through having unprotected sex with an infected person and also tattooing or piercing with tools that weren't sterilized.”

“Aside these causes, there are other causes such as sharing needles used for injecting an infected person as well as sharing personal items like razors or toothbrushes with an infected person. Let’s all meet at Mantse Agbona and get screened today,” Okyeame Kwame affirmed.

As part of showing gratitude to Ghanaians for joining in the fight against Hepatitis B, Okyeame Kwame Foundation together with Bella Roma will host an After Party at the Bella Roma Club at Osu right after the Hepatitis B Screening at Mantse Agbona.

Many celebrities are expected to pass through and gate fee is any desired amount to contribute to buying more vaccines to vaccinate more Ghanaians.
