Kwadee calls for peace

Hiplife legend Okomfour Kwadee has called on musicians in Ghana to concentrate on maintaining peace among themselves.

There seem to be a growing trend among musicians, where most of the songs they produce pay much attention to the misunderstandings they have with fellow artistes.

But speaking on TV3’s NEW DAY, Kwadee stated that the rap or music game was not about ‘beefs’ with other people but it was about talent and character.

“To all the musicians and the fans, let’s just peace it up. It is not about beef, it’s talent, character and how you can express yourself.” Okomfour Kwadee said.

According to him, instead of getting into beef songs, musicians should rather promote each other’s works even especially when they are out of Ghana.

“We should promote each other’s music especially when we travel outside and stuff like that. We should promote ourselves instead of getting into beef songs and stuff like that,” he added. He also expressed his condolences to the families of all the ‘soldiers’ the industry has lost this year.

“What I will say is that it has been a bad year because we have lost so many people in the industry. Condolences to all the families,” Kwadee said.

It could be recalled that some time last year, the singer was rumoured to be mentally unstable. He has since denied those allegations, calling them ‘rumours’.

Kwadee, who was christened Jerry Anaabaa, is currently promoting his three singles - ‘S3 Menya Woa’, ‘Di Kan Ko’ and ‘Fee fee’.
