On the heels of the highly successful New Year’s Eve event in December 2012, Karl Aubyn Events and +233 Jazz Pub & Grill and are back with the second edition of Soul II Soul with a Friday February 1st treat, which is without doubt, on top of the City’s must-attend events.
The organizers have promised an exciting night with a special old school music jam living up to the standard set on the maiden event that went down in history as a refreshing new twist in the delivery of entertainment for a mature and discerning clientele.
The February edition of Soul II Soul will see the return of the talented Kwame Yeboah and the Ohia Beye Ya Band, dishing out live music from the 70s, 80s and early 90s.
Kwame’s band will be backed by top rated Old School disc jockeys, spinning retro music between artiste sessions and through till the early hours of the morning.
Artistes on the bill include Nana Yaa, Ofie Kodjoe and others who delivered amazing performances on New Year’s Eve.
The organizers also promise an additional top rated surprise act to follow the electrifying performance of Samini at the maiden event and this will remain the trend at all subsequent Soul II Soul events.
If the maiden edition was anything to go by, the Friday February 1 event will deliver hours of entertainment right through till dawn where again, complimentary breakfast will be served just before the break of dawn.
Already the city’s most talked about event, Soul II Soul harnesses local talent to present a musical experience that features Ghana’s most talented bands and artistes performing both African and African American tracks of yesteryear.
Soul II Soul features an exciting collection of local and international old school music including Soul, Funk, Highlife, Hiplife, R&B, and Afrobeat among other genres.
Patrons who missed the maiden edition can look forward to a scintillating experience set within the Capitals premier entertainment venue, +233 Jazz Bar & Grill.
Gates open at 9pm, and as usual, there will be lots of grills to feast on.
