The Alliance Française in Ghana over the weekend witnessed yet another edition of the ‘rappathon’ event dubbed ‘Bless The Mic’.
The event is arguably the best platform for upcoming rappers to expose their talents and groom their skills through free-style sessions.
Many of the rap heavyweights such as Trigmatic, Pope Skinny, Yaa Pono, Sarkodie, D-black have all graced this stage at one point in time or the other.
On the long repertoire of list for the event was JaGa, one of Ghana’s newest music acts on the scene. JaGa said he was there to add his name to the respected tradition and also hone his rap skills since his been off the microphone for a while now.
“I am also here to perform my new single as part of my promotion” he added. When JaGa took to the stage he brought the house down with his punchy lines and flow skills receiving a huge applause from the audience and excitingly positive remarks from Pope Skinny, MC of the night.
The ‘Bless the Mic’ event was a prelude to a Hip Hop concert for which took place on Saturday November 3 and featured artistes such as D-Black, Lousika, Gemini among others.
