Deborah Vanessa In An Interview On CNN For 'Uncle Obama'

TV personality and aspiring actress, Deborah Vanessah has become Ghana's first ever viral Internet star and is causing a stir in the United States, Europe and around the world with her song and accompanying music video for 'Uncle Obama'.

The song released under the moniker, 'Sister Deborah' sent her back in the news this week ahead of the Obama-Romney debate, when the viral Internet star got to explain her music on CNN via Skype.

The song, which according to her has nothing to do with the US President Barak Obama but is being perceived as such, has gained major popularity worldwide in the 2 weeks since its release.

With over half a million views collectively online, the video for Uncle Obama has now caught the attention of mainstream media.

CNN’s Richard Davis contacted Sister Deborah a few days ago to set up a Skype interview with the ‘Queen of Quirks’, Jeanne Moos. In the interview, which aired Tuesday night on CNN International & CNN America, Sister Deborah said the song had nothing to do with the US President.

She explained, “It has nothing to do with the president, no and nothing to do with politics. I know he (Obama) is a cool person and I don’t expect him to get offended. But if he is offended in anyway, I do apologize. It’s not about him.”
