The organisers of the prestigious Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards have released nominees’ list for this year’s edition and two Ghanaians are in the list, Van Vicker and Nadia Buari.
Van Vicker with his role in ‘The Search’ will be settling to win the Best Actor (English) In A Leading Role, amongst Wale Ojo (Phone Swap), Joseph Benjamin (Married But Living Single) and Nwachuckwu Uti (In The Cupboard), all vying for that spot.
Best Actress (English) In A Supporting Role, where Nadia Buari with her role in ‘Holding Hope’ is contending with Nse Etim (The Search), Tonto Dikeh (Broken Silence) and Mary Uranta (Misress).
For Van and Nadia, Nigeria is like ‘home’ to them, so the chance of clocking accolades in their respective categories is very high.
The awards ceremony, according to the executive producer of the awards, Seun Oloketuyi, is billed to hold at a date in the last quarter of 2012, with Nonso Diobi and Mercy Aigbe as hosts.
