Nollywood Stars Storm Ghana

The créme de La crème of Nigeria’s movie industry will storm Ghana this weekend to be part of the first ever Ghana Movie Awards slated for the Accra International Conference Centre on Christmas Day.

Among names ‘News-One’ gathered will be in town for the expected celebrities-flooded event are top actress Patience Ozorkwor, who is popularly called Mama G, Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Elliot, sexy voice Yemi Blaq, Uche Jombo, Tonto Dike and Nollywood MJ, otherwise called Mercy Johnson.

Nollywood big time rumoured rivals, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade, have been hinted to be in town, as well as President of the Actors Guide of Nigeria and other names. A lot of popular figures from Nigeria have been nominated for various categories in the awards.

Yemi Blaq, Ramsey Nouah and Desmond Elliot were nominated for the Best Actor West Africa Collaboration category while Genevieve Nnaji, Nse Ikpe Ntim, Tonto Dike, Uche Jombo, Omotola Jalade and Mercy Johson have also been nominated for the Best Actress West Africa Collaboration category.

However, the crème de la crème of Ghana’s movie industry will definitely be there. There is a huge anticipation for fashion hues that night. The awards, organized by G.P Limited, is also expected to rain surprises. A lot of Ghanaian musicians will be on stage to rock the night with some unique stage acts. Among them will be Samini, Wutah, No Tribe, Rana, 4x4, VIP and a number of others.
