Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong are to prove those who believe there is a feud between them wrong with a live concert in December. Fans and critics alike have for years been under the impression that there is a deep disagreement between the duo, who were once known as the Lumba Brothers.
The live concert is expected to be the biggest Highlife get-together in decades.
The disclosure was made when Daddy Lumba spoke to Mutala Muntari, a.k.a Prime Eye on the Solid Gold Countdown on the Accra-based FM station, Radio Gold.
The concert will be held at the Trade Fair Centre in La, Accra on December 26, 2007. Sources say the organisers of the event chose the Trade Fair in order to reach out to as many Ghanaians as possible.
Daddy Lumba’s new album titled ‘agenda’ was first dropped on the Radio Gold showbiz programme, which boasts over five hundred thousand listeners on the worldwide web. The station also covers three quarters of Ghana in terms of reach. The ‘agenda’ album has songs like B.Power, P.O.P, Ogyeboso and agenda.
Although the album is yet to be officially released, fans of the music icon in and outside Ghana who called on the radio show were more than eager to go get their copies.
Daddy Lumba took a calculated swipe at those who choose to believe in the lies and rumours about his relationship with Nana Acheampong. He entreated Ghanaians to be at the live concert and see things for themselves.
