Nancy Adobea Anane a.k.a Ms Nancy, a renowned style coach has advised gospel musician, Gifty Osei, to get a personal stylist.

Gifty Osei in an interview on Adom TV stated that the ‘mosquito net’ gown she wore for this year’s VGMA cost her $2000 and it was bought in Dubai.

But Ms Nancy speaking to the issue said the dress did not pass for the above event but would have been useful for a ballroom event, adding that the colours made it look like a wedding gown.

“She needs someone who will help her define her style, know her body size and check her wardrobe and that is the job of a style coach.

“Having a stylist who will just get a dress for you because it is in vogue or will look nice on you is not enough, it is the duty of a style coach to help you discover your body’s selling point and would advice you on the type of clothing in that light,” she said in an exclusive interview with Livegmghana.com.

In 2012, Gifty Osei at the same VGMA wore a bra-less dress that got fans bashing and calling her names.

On another occasion, her dress showed her alleged hip-pad appearing evidently as she performed and it became a subject of discussion.

The former chaperon of TV3’ s Ghana’s Most Beautiful advised that Gifty Osei could have gone in for something simple yet impressive and would have still made the statement she wanted to.

“I will give her 10 out of 100; I believe that, you can be beautiful without going beyond. She should have considered her genre of music and dressed appropriately,” she said.

Miss Nancy, after her secondary education at St Monica’s Girls senior high furthered it by enrolling into the Institute of Business Management & Journalism in Kumasi.

She is a proud image projection and personal grooming consultant, with an impressive portfolio to match.

Miss Nancy is currently working at the Brands and Events office at Starr103.5 FM in Accra.
