N/R CPP calls on Ododododioo to vote for Shanco-Bruce

Tamale, Aug. 26, GNA - Members and sympathizers of the Convention People's Party (CPP) in the Northern Region have called on the electorate in the Ododododioo constituency in the Greater Accra Region to vote massively for the CPP candidate, Mr Christian Shanco-Bruce in the bye-election to ensure rapid development of the community.

"Those of us in the Northern Region are much worried about the political development at Ododododioo and wish to caution the electorate to vote out the NDC and NPP candidates and rally round the CPP candidate to victory."

Mr Albert Atutiga, acting Northern Regional Chairman of the CPP, who made the call in an interview with the GNA in Tamale on Thursday, said the actions of the NDC and NPP had raised the political temperature in the constituency, creating fear and panic among the people. He, therefore, appealed to the leadership of the two political parties not to do anything to disturb the peace in the area in particular and the country as a whole.

Mr Atutiga said the Ododododioo constituency had been a CPP seat and called on the electorate "to go back to their roots, because you will be doing good to yourselves if you vote for the CPP candidate. He said Mr Shanco-Bruce is a matured and experienced politician, who would have much influence in Parliament and bring the people together to pool their resources to develop the constituency in unity and harmony.

The Acting CPP Regional Chairman extended good wishes of the people of the Northern Region to the Ododododioo electorate and urged them "to vote wisely" on August 30.
