Northern Region NDC congratulates Mumuni

Tamale, Sept. 28, GNA - The Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region has congratulated Alhaji Mohammad Mumuni on his nomination as the running mate of Professor John Evans Attah Mills for the December polls.

The Executive Committee in a statement issued in Tamale and signed by Alhaji Abdulai Harruna, Northern Regional Secretary of the Party, said Alhaji Mumuni had distinguished himself as a Member of Parliament and the Minority Spokesman on Constitutional and Legal Affairs. The statement also commended Professor Mills for picking Alhaji Mumuni from equally qualified candidates and called on all Party supporters to work tirelessly for it to return to power.

The release commended Alhaji Mumuni for his tireless efforts in seeking lasting peace in Dagbon and to reconcile the people of the Northern Region as a whole.

"We consider your choice as one of the blessings that the Almighty Allah has bestowed on the three Northern Regions. We share with you your vision of ensuring economic prosperity in Ghana," the statement said. The statement indicated that Alhaji Mumuni worked effectively and brought nongovernmental organisations to the three Northern Regions and helped in the extension of electricity to communities and the provision of potable water aimed at eradicating the guinea worm disease.
