Atimatim (Ash), Aug. 31, GNA - The Kwabre West Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has asked members and supporters of the party to intensify their house-to-house political campaign to win more voters ahead of Election 2012. He said the task ahead demanded hard work and sacrifice. Odeneho Appiah was speaking at the inauguration of a new party office at Atimatim in the constituency.

He said there should not be any doubt that with unity of purpose and the right campaign strategy the NPP would achieve resounding victory in the upcoming polls. He said the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) had lost the confidence of majority of Ghanaians given its poor performance as evidence in the unbearable economic hardship, rising unemployment and high cost of education among other things. This, notwithstanding, he said, there should be no room for complacency and that all would have to accept to do their bit to bring the NPP back to power.

Mr Owuraku Aidoo, the party's parliamentary candidate for the area, appealed to all qualified voters to make sure that they get their names on the electoral roll when the voters' registration exercise begins.

He said it was only by doing this that they would be able to return the NPP to power to restore hope to the nation. Mr Richie Opoku Agyemang, Coordinator of the Atimatim Zone of the party, said the office would serve Atimatim Central, Pataase, Light House, Trabuo, Dome-Etaaho, and Atimatim Chairman's Junction. He encouraged the members to pay their monthly dues and attend meetings regularly to ensure the growth and development of the party. 31 Aug. 11
