GSE in drab session

Accra, Feb. 14, GNA - Trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange on Thursday recorded a drab session with no equity experiencing a price change with total shares traded fixing at 6,800 leaving the GSE All-Share Index closing unchanged.

The main market indicator closed at 4,728.77 points, the same as at the close of trading on Wednesday.

The change in the year to date in the Index was -0.84 per cent. Of all the 29 equities listed on the Exchange Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) registered the highest bid of 8,410 cedis, while the bids of Paterson Zachonis (PZ) and Aluworks were 6,501 cedis and 5,711 cedis, respectively.

Market capitalisation inched up slightly from 91,750.77 billion cedis to 91 841.68 billion cedis on the back of the 90.91 billion cedis Stanchart Preference Share, which was introduced on the market on Thursday.
