Aluworks and EIC gains push main market indicator up

Accra, Feb. 14, GNA - The GSE-All Share Index, the main market indicator, inched up 0.13 points on the back of gains by Aluworks (ALW) and Enterprise Insurance.

The index went up marginally to close at 4,728.76 points as against 4,728.63 points on Monday.

Traded volumes, which reached 7.3 million shares on Monday because of block sales in Golden Web shares, declined heavily to close at 52,300 shares.

The year to date currently change stands at -0.84 per cent. Two equities saw price appreciations - Aluworks gained eight cedis to close at 5,710 cedis and Enterprise Insurance went up by one cedi at 6,859 cedis.

Market capitalisation was up slightly at 91,750.73 billion cedis compared to 91,750.37 billion cedis at the previous close.
