Prior to the commencement of the Presidential Conference on Port Efficiency organized by the office of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a 3-member delegation from the port of Singapore and port of Antwerp visited the Port of Tema to have a first-hand experience on the practical situations at the Port.

The delegation also seized the opportunity to explore business opportunities at Ghana’s Ports.

Conducting the delegation through the business of Ghana’s Ports, the Director General, Paul Asare Ansah said the port authority was working with other state agencies responsible for growing the export sector to balance the deficit between import and export.

He said Ghana’s ports are on the verge of becoming the best automated ports in the west and central African sub regions.

The delegation said they were ready to partner with Ghana’s Port Authority to share knowledge and offer technical support.

Other managers of the Port Authority who flanked the Director General, were enthusiastic of a positive future collaboration.
