Accra bourse index ends week on positive note

Accra, July 18, GNA - The GSE-All Share Index, the main index of the Accra Bourse, ended the week on a positive note on Friday, registering a rise of 3.65 points to close at 10,567.92 points buoyed by the banking stocks.

Change year to date now stands at 60.13 points. Traded volumes jumped from 26,500 shares on Thursday to close the session stronger at 686,200 shares.

Three equities saw positive price gains. Ecobank Ghana Limited went up by GH¢0.01 at GH¢4.19, Standard Chartered Bank gained GH¢0.02 at GH¢35.10 and Super Paper Products Company was up at GH¢0.01 to close GH¢0.06.

Market capitalisation ended the session up at GH¢15,744.90 million up from GH¢15,742.61 million.
