Market begins week on quiet note

Accra, March 20, GNA - The Accra bourse began the week on a quiet note on Monday with only one equity making a weak gain. The GSE All-Share Index, the main market index, closed trading up by 0.06 points on the strength of one-cedi gain by CAL Bank on the broader market at 1,852 cedis.

The index ended at 4,759.20 points from 4,759.15 points on Friday. Volume of shares traded was lower at 185,600 compared to 305,200 shares recorded at the previous session.

Market capitalisation went up to 91,922.39 billion cedis from 91,922.23 billion cedis on Friday while change in the year to date remained at -0.21 per cent.
