His forefathers have always shown the way; making the impossible possible. And that is the more reason why he and his partner were able to make oil exploration a reality in Ghana.
You can continue to hate, but hate cant win.

So, why not fully identify him as a EO Partner that collaborated with Kosmos to drill Oil for Ghana? Why try to hide him behind a Medical Profession only?
It is only when the EO Partners and any other entities that have had the exclusive privilege of earning enormous wealth from exploiting the Nation's Assets transparently identify themselves as such, in their efforts to give back to the Society, would we know that such privileges have been put to good use for the Society at large. In that case, folks who might have had any problems with such entities getting those privileges would then realize that the entities deserved them.
I am one of those who were very critical of the EO Partners for not investing back in Ghana, after the long silence following their earning of the huge returns from the initial sales of Oil, some $350 Million. I was rather intent on seeing them invest some of the Money locally by expanding their Company or creating others to gainfully employ more Ghanaians.
It turned out that the Edusei Foundation soon after was announced, and has since been doing such charitable work as this. I commend it for that. But I still believe a more enterprising involvement to promote wider Capital infusion to help reduce our unemployment situation in Ghana would be more helpful.
The Edusei Foundation is the singular contribution of Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei. We are still waiting for Mr. George Owusu, the other Partner of the EO Group, to do his part in giving back to the Nation, most likely investing in other businesses to hire some of our unemployed Youths.
I must add that my criticism of the failure of the few privileged entities who preponderantly earn from the State's Assets to reinvest some of their earnings in Ghana was not restricted to the EO Group alone. I also fault the likes of Sam Jonah, who now runs a Venture Capital Firm in South Africa, for such neglect of Ghana. Many others who somehow ended up owning the State Businesses that were divested but poorly run the Companies to either keep them as small as they bought them, or have refused or failed to grow them to help with our unemployment situation are also guilty of that charge.
Many others have been even more selfish and even cruel when they steal from us and hide their booty in safe havens abroad. I wish we could have more powerful Global Institutions to help us expose any such folks who did steal from us, and have them prosecuted at the World Court for crimes against Humanity.
We should be grateful to the Edusei Foundation for its charitable contributions, at this point, and chastise all the thieving Politicians who have hidden their looted wealth for their exclusive benefits.
Long Live Ghana!!!

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT EO Group struck its deal with Kosmos Energy but not Government of Ghana. Thus EO's took its 3% share was from Kosmos Energy but not Government of Ghana. This goes to explain that EO's 3% was taken from Kosmos 90% shares that was due them. Thus Kosmos was left with 87% of their shares whiles Government of Ghana's shares remains 10% as stated by the Ghana Petroleum law.
Dr. Edusei's EO Group signed agreement with Kosmos Energy in July 2003, and rounded the agreement up in early 2004, whiles he became Ghana's ambassador to US in October 2004. So there was no conflict of interest whatsoever as some people are trying to force down our throat. The EO-Kosmos Energy deal was done before he became an ambassador.
In establishing the cleanness of the agreement, international investigators were hired to investigate EO. Yet, they found nothing wrong with their deal with Kosmos.
In 2013, Ghana government cleared EO of any wrong doings.
So now what? The obvious is that it is just due to sheer envy and hatred that some persons continue to throw dust into people's eye to soil the hard earn reputation of Dr. Edusei. But that is not gonna wash. Folks should rather be grateful to the EO Group for making oil exploration in Ghana a reality. Afterall, Tsatsu Tsikata spent millions of dollars of tax payers’ monies in about 20years on flimsy exploration engagements but to no avail.
Let’s Ghanaians be grateful to Dr. Edusei and his EO group, for they have done what "Napoleon" Tsatsu Tsikata couldn't do in 20years.

Such investigation is unnecessary because it is no secret that he earned much of his wealth from being a Partner in the EO-Group that joined Kosmos to drill our first, viable Oil resource.
With all our various criticisms of how the EO-Group came to be and its role in the deal that brought Kosmos to Ghana, we have arrived at a point where we seem to recognize the legitimacy of the Company's activities. So, it is how much the Company's ongoing activities help our Economy, if it still exists, or how its earnings from its venture with Kosmos is plowed back to help our Economy, if it has since dissolved, that matters most.
I think Ghanaians would be more forgiving of the EO-Group Partners for any initial faults we see in their business deals, if the Partners keep directing some of their earnings back into our Economy to help alleviate unemployment and expand our Economy. That is far better and useful to Ghana than the option of stashing their wealth abroad in safe havens. Many of our looting Politicians simply hide their booty in Bahamas, Bahrain, Dubai, Swiss Banks and elsewhere for their exclusive selfish comfort that does not benefit Ghana in anyway.
Therefore, we ought to be a little appreciative of Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei for the Work his Foundation is doing.
Long Live Ghana!!!

This goes to say that Dr. Edusei's philanthropic nature should not come as a surprise. To some of us, it doesn't at all.
Giving back to society is one of the known legacies of the Edusei family of Kumasi. They are very selfless!
Thus, Dr. Edusei, as I can see is following the footsteps of his fathers, aunts and uncles. Let us encourage him to do more to help lift the youth of our nation, and also lift the spirit of philanthropy high among Ghanaians. Bravo, Dr.
God bless you, Edusei.

Has any Ghanaian thought of who brought multinationals such as Newmont Mining, Golden Star Resources, Sandick, Shell Ghana, Maersk, Ghacem, Cargill and ADM to Ghana. Their agents were Ghanaians who took hefty commissions to get these businesses established in Ghana. We have never head of them, neither did they involve themselves in social protections programs to help the poor.
Just around our border, the Ivoirians with interests in Foxtrot and Mundoil who discovered Oil in Ivory Coast basin have made millions and in a small way embarking on social responsibility programs.
Dr Bawuah Edusei and his partner travelled around the world looking for investors, while Tsikata and is team and a few other were also looking for investors. As a bold venture with modern technologies, Dr Bawuah Edusei and his team won and discovered the deposits in the Western Region, only to the envy of the other parties, who then decided to attack him. In the end, both the Ghana Government and US Government after investigations exonerated him of all wrong doings. His decisions to invest in social responsibility programs is his own choice and better that what others have not done. He can choose to continue or even stop, but people, we must be grateful for his hard work. Business was Business.
Whilst these were going on small oil and test was been drilled in Saltpond and Ghanaians were driving around Accra-Cape Coast road not knowing what was going on. A few Ghanaians, who have been benefiting from these small Saltpond deposits are unknown and they have never helped the communities, we never talked about them because they went incognito. Dr Edusei was just bold to come out and truth has been told. Lets respect his dynamism, business acumen and initiatives.
