Komla Dumor Trends Number 1 on International News

Barely two days after the news of the untimely death of ace BBC journalist, Komla Dumor, yahoo news and other international news blogs online estimates that the passing of Komla Dumor is the most searched and probably talk-about news item online today.

Komla Dumor was exceptionally good at his work according to his colleagues. His style of presentation and quizzing his guests endeared him many fans globally. The world media has been utterly shocked by the premature demise of the Ghanaian born BBC presenter, who was the face of BBC’s Africa Business Report project. The outpouring of tributes from fans all over the world suggests that it is not a bad dream after all but, that the man who became the face and voice of Africa is no more.

Komla Dumor will be remembered as a true star of Africa who believed passionately about the future of the continent and its people. Lyse Doucet of BBC writing in the 22nd January 2014 edition of the Guardian newspaper remarked that, Komla Dumor was “a star from the start”. Without a doubt an illustrious son of Africa has fallen and the international media has lost a pure talent.
