2010 CEANA Convention comes to Washington, DC

The Council of Ewe Associations of North America, Inc (CEANA) is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization. It operates as an umbrella entity to collaborate and work with sixteen active Ewe associations in North America and Canada. The collective goal for all the organizations under CEANA is the promotion and assistance of the socio-economic and cultural development of Eweland, consisting of Ghana, Togo, and Benin. This year’s convention theme is “Employing education and business investments as instruments for developing Eweland.”

The Volta Association of Washington DC Metropolitan Area Inc, one of the founding members of CEANA, is hosting the 17th annual convention of CEANA this year. In attendance will be over 750 delegates from the United States, Canada, and Europe, and traditional rulers from Ghana, Togo, and Benin. The ambassadors of Ghana, Togo and Benin have been invited. The convention will offer a series of symposiums on economic development in Eweland and the United States and also offer delegates a tour of the nation’s capital.
