Castro rock Berlin Culture of Karnival

Castro & fansThe annual Berlin Culture of Karnival once again came alive in the German city of Berlin last week 11th May 2008 with special guest of honour being Theophilus Tagoe otherwise known as Castro D’ Destroyer as the only Ghanaian, sold out a first class performance to the a mammoth crowd who have turned out massively as usual to participate in the event. According to the report when the loud speakers used for the festivity started churning out Castro’s songs, the colourful and dance ready youth and adults made the atmosphere resonate with energy, love and such respectful culture extravaganza with a touch of class. Everything seemed like family re-union, as citizens from all over the world including Ghanaians and their icon Castro, converged at Berlin for this important ceremony.

The “Karnival” was commemorated in a splendour and sumptuousness, showcasing the true African culture and its value to the rest of the world. Africa is telling its own story. The inclusion of Castro for the first time on the show shook the very foundation of the festival as Ghanaians and other nationals who have heard about his music prowess surged forward to catch a glimpse of him and his our brand-Hiplife.

Fragoda is a cultural and aid organization that represents Ghana in the Carnival of Cultures Festivity in Berlin. Berlin Carnival has become one of the biggest and most important festivals in Europe. Our aims are enhancing culture sharing, showcasing Ghana, promoting tourism,  exposing the Ghanaian music abroad and helping the needy.
