Travel guidelines for Ghanaians in Italy

Accra, Sept. 29, GNA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and NEPAD has advised Ghanaians legally resident in Italy who wished to travel out of that country while their resident permit (Permesso Di Soggiorno Or Carta Di Soggiorno) was being renewed to go ahead and do so.

A statement from the Ministry released in Accra on Friday said these Ghanaians could also re-enter Italy without the need of a re-entry visa based on condition that "their journey in and out of Italy should not be by transit and must be through the same airport".

It said passports and receipts of the application for renewal of resident permits should be shown to and stamped by "Italian immigration officers, while exiting Italy".
