Ghanaian Diplomat Believes In Victory Over Brazil

Luanda, 06/27 - The first secretary of Ghana`s embassy in Angola, Louis Obeng, manifested Monday in Luanda, being confident about his country´s victory over Brazil, in the World Cup`s eighth finals match to be disputed this Tuesday, despite the known superiority of the title-holders.

In an interview to ANGOP, while giving his predictions about this Tuesday´s match, the diplomat guaranteed that Brazil are a strong candidate, but Ghana will do everything possible to get a result that dignifies the African continent.

To him, if Ghana get a positive result, it will be an important event not only for Ghana, but also for Africa.

Referring to other African teams` participation, Louis Obeng praised Angola´s performance, even though they did not pass to the next round.

The Ghanaian official made also an appeal to fellow Africans, to invest seriously in the training of potential talents and in sports infrastructures, so that they can compete as equals with their future opponents in the World Cup.

With Angola, Ivory Coast, Tunisia and Togo out of the world championship in the first round, fans of the continent are now concentrating their support on the only African "survivor", Ghana.
